MAF Sensor Error Code

Installed the Nugget Stuff sealed air intake on my 2.2 Puma a couple of weeks ago (I don’t have a snorkel). Ran fine for a few days then threw a maf sensor error code coming home on the freeway. Managed to limp home and suspecting an intercooler hose have just replaced them with silicone hoses. Have also tried a new maf sensor.

Just taken it for a run and still throwing the error code. Hoses all good, wiring to sensor at plug end seems ok, but haven’t traced it all the way to earth.

Before I start pulling out the intercooler and the dreaded elbow, is there anything else I should look at?

Ok, you can all stop panicking. Split intercooler is the culprit.

Now to find one in Sydney on Monday so we can go away for Easter. The good news is getting the intercooler out is dead simple.

Maybe there is a god.

Managed to source a BAS intercooler today from Graeme Cooper and have fitted it this arvo.

Install was quite straightforward, except for fitting the hose from the turbo. Think that took longer than the rest of the job combined.

It was a lot more expensive than getting it direct from BAS, but I have it now, I've saved the cost of a standard one as an interim and I can get away for Easter :arms:

I guess that means there's no reason not to go for 170 tune instead of the 150, when the credit card recovers.
