I have seen these kits, where you can lock the diffs on the DII, (like we had on the DI)
Does anyone have any knowledge on these kits.
There is one advertised on E-Bay

I have the AMV CDL in my DII, supplied & fitted $600, works well and if you want you can disable the TC/ABS, i don't cause i like the Traction control, makes it that much more capable offroad aspecially in cross rutted situations, but others do for some strange reason.

Does anyone know if the linkages for the CDL from a late DII ('New Look Discovery', and LR called it at launch) will bolt straight up to an early DII (1999)? I want to keep as close as poss to a factory look and thought chasing a used linkage from a wreck may be the go. Will this work?

you reckon you can find an '03 with a wrecked centre diff?
(otherwise why would someone ruin a good one?)

I have a Bruce Davis Mechanical actuator, pulls in centre diff when you engage low range.
I have found it works a treat. No problems at all.
What I would say is that a centre diff lock actuator is definately needed if you do not have one.

if you can fit it.
some of the d2's came out with the guts removed so the cdl could not be locked at all. either inside or outside the vehicle
