rangie Radiators

Hi all Can anyone offer any advice on a place in Sydney or mail order where I could get hold of a new radiator for my 95 p38a Rangie, besides Alto ($$$$$) parts.

dont mind travelling for the right price. so far best I have found is $646 for a new one.

I'm in Melb, so this story is only here to give you ideas. A mate of mine has a Natrad shop and a guy came in who wanted his Rangie rejuvenbated for a 'round Australia trip. For the price of a genuine radiator he got a custom made high performance alloy radiator through Natrad. If you must end up spending that much money, you may as well get more for it.

The price from Cooper sounds about what I paid for mine from KLR. I know a bloke in Melbourne got a custom job made up for about half that. I could get hsi email address when I get home or you could look on the P38A forum at http://rangerovers.net/forum and look for a post about it by MJS (Martin Saul from Mornington Peninsula).

I can't check it from here as anything with Forum in the address is blocked.

Land V spares $770 new or $450 used
Alto Land Rover $1057 ????????? but he asures me the other guys stuff is dodgey and comes from south africa ? who know's but sheeeesss over a grand for a rad, what the F#%@.

That's possible. One radiator I received was obviously very different from the original as far as core sizes - that radiator came from BMI

Oops! Of course. Then you will know MJS from that forum. I'm pretty sure it was he that sourced an aftermarket radiator.

You could get an aluminium radiator built for racing for less than $1000.00 and it'd do a better job than the standard one. I'd be googling radiators and seeing how much it would cost to build one up.

Try giving Jim a call at Natrad in Bayswater (VIC). His number is (03) 9720 4855, I'm sure he did a custom alloy radiator for a classic RR for under $700 this year. I may be wrong, but that's what I recalled. Tell him Michael gave you his number.

Auspost can handle anything under 20kg easily.
