Can anyone in the LROC tell me if Kahnafari is planned for this year? I have looked in the magazine and cant find it. I really want to enter this year in the event i move at the end of the year and miss out next year. Matt

Khanafari is a usually annual competition, with a variety of novelty & skill-based events to enter. Non-damaging, and untimed. It's deliberately not a sporting event. Trophies for the various winners. Its a good weekend.

Greg will be running somwething at Windeyer, but not as a Khanafari. More of a tuff trip trophy event. He's got a sponsor lined up, so we'll all hear more soon.

No worries, thanks Max. Looks like i will be there. Is it all going to be tuff trip stuff or will there be stuff for everyone so the more standard vehicles can enter? Matt

it'll be like a 2 day camel trophy. all for one and one for all to achieve a set task. the winner will be chosen on a skill and teamwork basis.
the club used to run a similar event called the Amarula Trophy. it was held at Briar station, near bathurst and sponsored by a south african booze called "Amarula Cream" made out of dried elephant nuts or something.....yummy!
