Just noticed while driving my 99 d2 the it was having a bit of a shudder while accelerating and some hills I could easily coast up before, now i have noticed I have had to go sometimes even go down to 3rd to get up hills.
I was thinking dirty fuel as it seemed to happen the day I filled up at the 7/11

Just wanting to see if anyone has had anything similar to their TD5s

any info could help

Check turbo hoses to and from intercooler.

Is it surging at all?

If it's surging it can be the MAF or a stuck wastegate.
The first can make it starve for fuel as it's feeding the wrong (low) air flow data to the ECU, the second can create an overbroad situation.
The first is easy to diagnose with Nanocom or similar, the second can be tested by seeing if the wastegate actuator rod will actually push the wastegate open.

check injector harness

Oil in the plug on engine,or it can seep down to the ECU and cause issues.

Following on from Rick, when mine had a faulty mass it surged badly at full throttle, but didn’t seem to lack power with normal driving.

Not saying it won’t happen with a faulty MAF,though.

How can it lose something it never had?[biggrin]
Is the EGR still part of the equation?

EGR has been deleted, havent checked MAF. As I said still going ok, oil and coolant leaks a plenty getting them fixed.

When I get those hoses fixed will get them to have a look at this but also dump fuel and redo filters just to be precautionary.

Have got it booked in to davis performance for a couple other things will probably get him to inspect the car thoroughly while he has it.

Didn't have time to elaborate on my original reply.
The reason I suggested injector harness was the OP stated a shudder ( miss?) when accelerating and down on power . This can occasionally be caused by oil in plug but more likely the connection between the injector and harness, new harness will fix it if that's the problem.

Seems like the wastegate is seized up

de-laminated and collapsed IC hose caused similar issues with mine.
