My goodness! Fitting up some factory heated grips to the Katana - 3/4 of the bike needs to come apart to get to the connector!
And then the exhaust is being modified - again, take apart a heap of the bike just to get to the flange bolts!
Reading the workshop manual is an exercise in jumping around from page to page - remove xyz (see section A12) at section A - remove part 123 (see section D16) and so on…..
It’s going to be a long day!

pfft wait till you work on a machine that is needed to be in a specific configuration and position to get access to some bits....
you do that and merrily work away until it says "remove X"
you look up remove X and the machine has to be in a completely different configuration to access that part but you cant move it because getting the first half of the job you needed to do has disabled the engine and opened up the hydraulic system...
Motor bike bits tend to be pretty light too.

You own a car that needs the body removed to do certain things to the engine and the bikes an issue? [emoji16][emoji6][emoji56]

Day ended alright.
Exhaust has been modified as planned,
Factory heated grips are on in time for cold mornings,
Woolich Racing harness has been successfully fitted and is communicating with software.
Haven’t refitted the fairings or tank yet - decided to get some service parts before putting it all back together.

Like doing the valve clearances on a Duc 748/996 where you remove the rear shock to get to the exhaust cover. Still, easier than a TDV6 HPFP.
