Is the pic rotated?
Which is the top?
LHS or RHS of the car?
What is it attached to? Gearbox?
Looking from under the front left side looking up under the car, you can see steering shaft along the right of the picture. Tyre to the right of the frame. The part is directly above the steering box, looks like its connected to the block.

I'm having a hard time visualising it.
You say passenger side but then say it's above the steering box.
Is the pic rotated?
Are they the oil cooler pipes?

Ahh, above the LHS of the steering rack. Saying steering box confused me.
Are they the oil feed lines to the remote oil filter?
From the workshop manual:
Two re-inforced flexible hoses, feed and return, are fitted between the filter assembly and the crankcase mounted
adaptor plate. The hose connections are of the push fit type and sealed with an “O” ring seal. The filter hose
connections are secured by a locking plate bolted to the filter body. The sump hose connections are secured to the
crankcase adaptor with a securing bracket. This bracket is attached with a stud and nut.

Yes, LYX000090 - (RING 14 X 2)
You might get 14x2 at an auto parts, bearing shop, or hydraulic hose shop.

I believe that's a fairly common leak in BMW's with this motor... I'm pretty sure I've got a bit of a leak in the same spot and it needs o-rings and I believe it's bit of a pain to do

These should help.
I've got to spray mine with degreaser to try and find where it's coming from, I think my biggest leak is the top timing chain cover, as I park on a slope, probably not helping at all... I've got a little bit of oil dropping onto the drive belt...
When I do an oil change I'll try and find it...
