Hi

We have a 2015 RRS with SDV6, which has developed a stutter while driving . Revs drop slightly and the car sort of hiccups. its very random , can happen once occasionally or several close together. When it gets bad the car will go into limp or shut down mode.

We've been back to a Dealer 4 or 5 times over the past 5 months, and spent money on a new throttle body, new battery, diagnosis of multiple wiring systems, but after $4000 and 4 months off the road they haven't been able to diagnose or fix the issue.
The latest theory they have come up with is it "might " be a problem with a Turbo ($7500)

Having been down this road before with a faulty/blown engine at 120,000 km's diagnosed initially as an injector problem we don't want to keep throwing money at "possible" fixes, I'm looking for someone to take it to in Melbourne or Victoria "outside" of the JLR system to ask them to have a look at the car and try to diagnose the issue.

Has anyone ever experienced a "stutter" problem like this or can point me to a trusted organisation in Melbourne to look at the car.

Thanks

Yes it has but I haven't seen them - a lot of "electrical" type codes I believe

Not sure where all the Melbourne folk are hiding. Thought you'd have a couple of recommendations on an independents down there.

Here are a couple to get you started:

Ask the dealer for the codes or see if someone who has an IIDtool can read them for you.

Thanks for that, I did contact AMV yesterday and they were helpful, they've recommended someone to take it to.
