Hi there,
I'm looking at purchasing a secondhand 2016 Discovery 4 HSE or SE with the following options;
Surround Camera System
Blind Spot Monitoring & Cross Traffic Detection
Active Rear E-Differential
Adaptive Cruise Control
Wading System
DAB
I am wondering how "easy it is" to retro-fit some of the options listed above? Or am better of looking for a car with fitted from the factory instead?
Thanks again.

I think that you’d find it easier to just buy the model with all those options

Others will know more than me. But I think extremely difficulty to retro fit those options.
If you do a search of the forum, I'm sure, the retro fitting of the e diff has been covered. IIRC (and I may not, and happy to be corrected) the consensus was that it wasn't viable.

I'm pretty sure you can't retro factory options unless it's a mechanical option(ie) bullbar, roof rails or rear ladder.
Any of the electrical items can require other items for them to work, for example, satnav requires the premium sound system to be fitted as it needs a specific module in the sound system for it to work, also I know for a fact Land Rover will not retro fit the E-Diff.
Also as said above you are better off buying a D4 with all that on it, the main reason would be cost, I'd say it would be very expensive to retro fit all those items.

Any factory option can be retrofitted, it's only a matter of cost.
Ideally you need to find a donor car and take everything from it.
For example the wiring alone for the factory surround cameras is ~$4000 if purchase as new spare parts from LR. Plus the cameras, plus the mirrors, plus the modules, plus the labour & programming... could easily be a $10k job in the end....
