Hello from Germany,

great forum and has already helped me a lot! But there is one point where I can't get any further and I need your help.

I have a Disco Sport HSE with the 11 speaker premium sound system (not the Meridian Surround System) with the Intouch head unit (not the pro - Bass, mid-range and tweeter can be adjusted in my audio settings). According to JLR information the 250w amplifier is installed.

Sound is quite poor and the amplifier overdrives the bass massively. Now I’ve replaced the original speakers in the front doors with aftermarket speakers and additionally insulated the front doors. That has already resulted in a significant improvement!

Now I want to replace the speaker in the rear doors as well (bought me old Jaguar XF B&W speaker as mentioned in an other post in this forum) and will insulate the rear doors as well. Hopefully this will improve the sound experience as well.

Addionally I‘m seeking for an upgrade of the Amp. As I've read here, there is hardly a way to upgrade to an OEM amp for 11 speakers (without surround) plug & play. And now I plan to install an aftermarket Amp.

I‘ve found a video from Italy (Upgrade audio su Land Rover Discovery sport - YouTube (https://youtu.be/Raw2V0tkEPM)) who installed the Audision AP 8.9 bit Amp into this Modell. But unfortunately this guy didn‘t replied regarding how he solved it.

Does anyone had the same challenge and solved it? E.g. which OEM or aftermarket Amp installed? Installation tips? Does anyone have a cable plan of the OEM amplifier connections for a connecting an aftermarket amp?

Looking forward to your reply and help!

Best, Mags

If you figure this out, I would love to do the same. But in the mean time, which speakers did you get? I'm a huge fan of B&W speakers. Didnt know that the Jaguars came with them. If they are direct replacements for the L550, I'll start looking for used ones; but would need to know which to look for.

Thanks,
Huth
