I recently bought a 2003 Coromal Seka 505 pioneer XL.

The tap in the sink is a combined hot cold with the hot side pulling from the tank via a pressure pump and the cold side from mains.

The mains tap was very stiff to turn off so today I dismantled it . I had to heat it with MAP gas to unscrew it as someone had either used loctite or it was corroded.

So i go to replace the washer and am surprised to find that the washer is like nothing I have seen before.

The washer consists of the usual end but no shaft. Instead it has a hex say 10mm shaft with an internal female LH thread which mates to a male LH thread in the tap shaft. This fits in a mating female Hex shape in the tap head
I cannot find any reference in Google or at Mitre 10 or in the Reece Catalogue.
I ended up butchering a new 15mm washer and just replacing the actually nylon sealing part, which wasn't all that good a fit but should do.
Any ideas on where to get such an animal?
The only thing anything like it I have seen was an image in an Indian website.
Regards PhilipA
