Well after 3 years from the 1st fix using a brake line as an inner sleeve as it broke 1/2 way along, this time it let go right at the tank not sure if this was caused by vibration which I was heading out to pick up parts to fix, 2 self tapping screws and a cable tie got me home and to work for the week.

The fix involved a reusable grease fitting used for nylon grease hoses, a drill and small die grinder to rough up surfaces and cut grooves in the tail of the fitting for the hose to "bite" into when clamps are done up, 1st step was to drill into the tank with just the right size drill this is to allow for the threaded part to screw into the tank, apply thread sealant to thread of fitting and screw it in, 2nd part was to rough up the plastic around where the fitting and apply the compound around the fitting for extra support and in theory spread any load to a bigger area.

Good fix. I cant see an issue. Probably last for years. I would be running a low coolant alarm as a failsafe just in case. Baz

I have had one of those fitted for years now 10 plus years, was the smell of coolant that made me pull up before alarm went off.
