What's on this panel?

I saw this pic on FullFatRR and asked what the item between the microphone and the sunroof switch does and what is it as my L322 only has a blanking panel in the centre.

I didn't get a reply so thought I'd ask here.

Is that the alarm interior sensor? I think there's a set in the middle roof unit too?
