Wrecking TD5 D2 in WA - Advice Requested

Hi All - First post but very frequent and grateful user of this forum over the last few years. Thank you!

My D2 TD5 has a rust problem in the bottom corners of the windscreen which I've been quoted between $4k and $6k to fix. I don't think its work fixing but is in fair condition other than this issue. It recently became unregistered.

Any advice on the best way to dispose in WA would be greatly appreciated. Haven't had much joy with wreckers in the past so keen to hear the thoughts on here.

Keen to get myself back in the market to get another LR asap.

Put it on gumtree mate. Keep the price reasonable and it will sell in no time. The covid tax is absolutely mind blowing at the moment.

Any vehicle that is going and registered is worth a lot more than one that is not. Regardless of any rust issues.
Especially here in W.A. where there are no annual vehicle checks.

I got a Disco 1 in very good condition.....well, except for slipped liner in engine. The Previous owner let the rego expire.
an unregistered vehicle that does not run properly, ie. needs work. A wrecker offered to tow away for free.
I got it for $200.00. that was his best offer in 3 months, his loss, my gain.

Some people don't mind having to do some work, as long as it's going and drivable. Rust around windscreen is an easy fix for those who are willing to do it.

My point is, if it's running ok, KEEP it registered. Just point out that there is rust spots.

What are you expecting to get for it? I might be interested. (registered only)
