Any members had anything to do with refurbishment of bearings.

Have a thrust bearing that fits the criteria……

I normally buy replacement bearings. I often get bearings form bearing suppliers. What are you trying to fix ?

not your run of the mill bearings.

It’s the first time I’ve been involved with refurbishing bearings. Generally they are beyond repair. Although I wouldn’t have thought this size bearing would fit the criteria.

The one above is worth $5400. Refurb cost is $3400. We purchased the only one in australia, 12 week lead time for another new one.

Have another gearbox where I’m now hoping the thrust is also good condition. Replacement cost is $33000 dollars. For this one a $3400 birthday is probably worthwhile.

All other roller bearings in the box are readily available.

Just figured somebody might have had some direct experience.
