Hi everyone.

Is the Start /Stop button illuminated? We’ve just taken delivery of our new MY 2022 D350 HSE and the Start/Stop isn’t illuminated at all, which is a real surprise, especially when stopping the vehicle in the dark.

Just trying to work out if it’s a gremlin or just a design oversight and the first mod I’m going to look for!

Thanks.

The manual for your model year does not mention anything about the button itself showing any form of illumination to indicate status (mine does). The manual for yours states the status of the system is shown in the instrument cluster:

https://www.ownerinfo.landrover.com/document/LX/2022/T23424/45988_en_GBR/proc/G2260204

The instrument panel displays a status icon to indicate the operational status of the auto stop/start system.

Have a look through the manual as it has a bit of additional info that might be of use to you.

Hi Sean.
After a month with the vehicle, countless reading of the electronic manual and looking on line, it looks like it’s not an illuminated button, either are the glove box buttons which are really surprising, but especially the Start Stop, when in a dark car turning the vehicle off.
‘Really surprising. 🥺

Ahhh, you mean the stop/start ignition button, not the other stop/start button for emission control. No, neither that nor the glovebox button are illuminated.

The ignition button in my 14.5 lights up....

And it did in my D4 HSE as well.
Hard to believe they’ve dumbed it down in a brand new MY 2022 494 HSE but there you go!🤔
