Well I replaced the fuel pump recently on my D1 V8 1997. All good BUT I have now discovered it leaks when I fill the tank !! Fuel is coming from the seal where the pump is inserted. So it’s not sealed properly and I need to remove and refit the pump.
I will attach a photo of the bottom of the old seal I removed which has several lips. The new seal I used is the same. It’s part NTC 5859.
Are there any tips to help ensure this seal and pump is seated properly? I thought it was ok but obviously not. Have others had this problem?
