Brains trust, can someone please tell me what this little fan is for on my dash? I want to get rid of it and put a switch panel there.
Just thought ide actually confirm what it is first.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.
At the risk of embarrassing myself i initially assumed it was something to do with the copious amounts of cigarette lighters and ashtrays in my car. Like a fan to suck away the smoke inbetween puffs or something stupid like that [emoji28][emoji28][emoji28]

the vent section is for the HEVAC.
The holey section of that part of the fascia can still be used for a switch of your choosing.
What would be there for most D2's is just blanking pieces. The switch that those blank pieces are covering for is for the headlight level control.
The vertical section would be a set of numbers(0 top -3 bottom) and the circular hole would have the round switch that you twist to level the headlights.
If you were handy with tools, you could easily use that side for other switches.
