Ok who would be interested in a Coffs Harbour trip in August/September leaving the Gold Coast early on a friday morning staying in a caravan park and driving the local tracks and beaches friday, saturday, sunday and returning on the monday. Track ratings will be green to black even G4 if we stumble across them??.The trip will be based on the 4wd monthly DVD so bring the family all welcome, each day we will return to the caravan park how civilised. Myself and Mick G will be organising and leading the trip so any info and ideas stick your hand up.

Regards Justin

I might be interested in a drive up the coast, to early to tell what my work commitments will be like then. I wouldn't rule it out but cannot commit at this time though

i'm heading down there this weekend, unfortunity i have to take the falcon

i have not seen the dvd but looking at the pics in the mag it looks like they did ROVER TRAIL, i have played on this track a few times and yes there is some interesting tracks of to the sides

if only the mother inlaw still had the macadamia plantation, you could have camped there for nothing and it's right at the start of ROVER TRIAL

i had some pics on the old AULRO server of ROVER TRAIL, buggered if i can find them on my pc

top spot and you will have a great weekend

I would be keen, date pending of course. September would be better for me, but I'll still be interested.

At least I can pack super light staying in a caravan park :)

Dependent on the final dates and commitments, can a Toowoombite attend?
Could you post the track colour codes?
I have no idea what green and black means.
G4 I presume is chains, winches, roll cages, bash plate protection etc. Of which I have none.

Hey DRanged

if you are reseaching caravan parks and your not fussed if it beach front you might want to look into the Coffs Central? Caravan Park, its the one on the main drag next to the show grounds

in peak season or i guess when they are busy they now use part of the show grounds and i thought if you have a big group and you want some more space or a space to your own than you might be able to book this whole area, it has it own block of toilets/showers and powered sites. the other travellers may not frown if anybody needs to carry out mechanical repairs thoughout the night so they can drive the tracks the next day!!

just a thought

i should have stopped and asked

Just a thought, if we have Frazer 15-17 September, we also have the G4 run at the start of September (although there are only 5 vehicles, 10 people involved) would August not be a better month or are you looking at going during School holidays at end of September when it will be busy.

August only seems to have the Gympie Muster trip on the last weekend booked so far for those interested... otherwise currently free.

As Bolts has mentioned... September has 2 big trips in it already.

I'd suggest maybe the weekend of the 5th or 12th of August... or alternatively nothing is booked in for October as yet.

No October fully booked - August would be good for coffs otherwise will have to come back from Africa early.
