Becoming less excited by the day with my 110 rear view mirrors (external). Has anyone explored easily available options (Pics, tips to fit etc) TIA.

I think Mud UK have some larger ones of that's what you're after?

What about a rear view monitor (not a reverse camera) Wouldn't that be exciting?

Thinking more of adapting mirrors from another brand.

I bought a pair of convex mirrors from Allfourx4 and I'm really happy with them. Best part is, they were only $25 each.

What's the issue with them, the ones on my 130 are OK (when they aren't frozen over)

I’ve got larger mirror heads(ex LR military) on the standard arms.

One refuses to stop shuddering, despite my best efforts. Not a great fan of the upright shape anyway.

I have used the Spafax VM2 mirrors and am very happy with them. Supplied by UES International in Australia.

My mirrors do shudder a bit but that is due to the inherent weakness in the arm spring, not the mirror.

Note - Do not use RainX on the mirror surface. Soap and water only

convex mirrors used on drivers side may be illegal, I was Recenly looking into replacement mirrors and believe the research revealed drivers side must be flat , the passenger side can be convex

*MUC3707 / MUC3708 - Early 110 / Defender side mirrors (right side, left side). These are the early large looking mirrors.
*ALR4626 - Defender TDCi (puma), FLAT glass. These are the later smaller looking mirrors.
*MTC5084 - Defender TDCi (puma) CONVEX glass. These are the later smaller looking mirrors.
*Britpart MTC5084 or BEARMACH MTC5084 are both made in Taiwan so I am happy with the quality with the BEARMACH ones looking slightly better.
*Genuine are Britax but at some point maybe the 2.2 round 2011 they were some other brand and no better quality than a BRITPART or BEARMACH one.

*I have the early ones on my 110 Perentie and the later MTC5084 CONVEX on my 110 200tdi Defender, I actually prefer the later smaller convex ones.

Toyota 79 series are convex on both sides from factory afaik. That’s why I didn’t worry about installing convex mirrors on my Defender.
