Gentlemen,
I am having all sorts of grief with he Brake Shoes adjusters. I've been at them all day and not happy.
Firstly, I could not get the old rear adjusters off. I could not loose the rear bolt not heater what I tried, but eventually gave in and cit them off with the angle grinder.
Then I tried to install the new rears, which I had purchased from a local Series 1 supplier, but after struggling for a few hours I believe I ma missing some parts.
The set of four, I purchased, came as per the photo.
The problem I found is that the nut bottom out on the shaft way before the spring security it nicely.
When I did a bit of research, I found that other adjusters had additional parts that I was missing.
I seem to missing the shoulder washers that secure the adjuster in the centre of the hole in the brake back plate, and its counter part that goes on the inside. Without those, the spacing seems to be all wrong that the spring will bottom out, as I have found.
Has anyone else had the same issue and can provide some advice about how to go about rectifying it?
Many thanks
