Bought the dvd series, for those who came in late, its a film of Ewan Mcgregor and Charlie Boorman travelling across the northern hemisphere on 2 BMW GS Adventures.Good for a laugh and some incredible scenery, as well as the fact that neither of them was really prepared for what they would encounter, makes you want to go for a ride.My rating 4 outa 5.

If you liked "The Long Way Round", you may also like "Race to Dakar". It's a similar documentry type series of Charlie Boorman (the other pom that is not Ewan McGregor in The Long Way Round) and two others (one is an Aussie) who compete as a team on the BMW's in the 2006 Race to Dakar. Really good viewing and gives a great insight into the race.

I was lucky enough to see 1 episode of this. I would love to see the whole thing.
