Hi

I'm seeking assistance from someone local to Rosanna Rd Heidelberg, or someone who knows the area quite well.

I'd like to know exactly where on Rosanna Rd the speed changes from 60kmph to 40kmph (heading south from Greensborough towards Caulfield)

I'd drive there myself to check it out but unfortunately the current COVID restrictions prevent this.

The image on Google Maps from March 2020 shows it is 60kmph up until the intersection with Darebin St but the image also shows a sign under black plastic - possible a new speed sign??

Is anyone able to verify whether the speed changes at Darebin Rd or before it.

regards

Darabin Street?

The 40 starts just before it now and past Warringal SC then I usually turn left into Jika Street, but can’t place it exactly. May be there for work in the next week or so but not sure. If no one else can assist I’ll look next time I’m over that way.

There is a speed limit change opposite the shopping centre. It changed Dec 2020 - and they have been nabbing drivers every day since.

I got nabbed driving home from hospital in December the day my mum died.

Changes before, I think around where Salt creek runs under the road. Can check on Monday when I go to work.
There is a fixed speed camera at the corner of Darebin road I believe.

Our son lives in Fairfield but travels in Heildelburg and I asked him and this is what he sent me. Darebin Street traffic lights I think. Heather

Checked it out on the way to work this morning. The first 40 zone (7AM to 7PM) sign is at about 74 Rosanna road.

That’s quite a bit before I thought it was - I must be more careful I think! [emoji106][emoji16]

Took my mum to a medial appointment Port Fairy- Warrnambool returning her to Port Fairy a few years ago. Clock in my Disco was a little wonky showing 9:40 and I was at the 80km speed limit I was booked at 35km over the 40km school zone at 8:29[tonguewink][tonguewink] Have to laugh as policeman and the nice magistrate played a straight bat and I handed over my license for a month.

What really got me was the drunk drivers with interlock devices being removed by that magistrate despite the interlock devices recording the nice drunk drivers trying to drive their cars when drunk. Jaw dropper for me. A reporter at the court reported my horrible offense and not a whisper about the other several cases all about interlock devices being removed before the scheduled time despite[bigrolf]
I try to avoid driving via Warrnambool. The speed limits in that place change every time I drive through it[biggrin] No consistency, except for speed limit changes consistently. We all need to check and be hyper vigilante even on roads we have driven on for decades.

I have to go to Portland to do cray stuff out in the ocean a couple of times a year.

Got tired of the vans, speed limit changes, etc on the Princes.

These days I turn off the highway at Boorcan, across to Noorat, across to Woolsthorpe, Bessiebelle then down to Tyrendarra and Portland.

A bit of mucking around in a couple of places, same distance as going on the Princes, no traffic and half an hour quicker. Nice country, suits me.
