Huge thanks to Inc for all the work he’s put in over the years to get this place going and keep it going and growing.
Have made many many life long friends on here - there aren’t many places in Australia I couldn’t go to without bumping into someone I’ve met along the way or at least chatted with here.
It is unique as far as forums go in the way - I am a member on many forums, but this is the only one with this sort of feel or friendship to it. [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106]

How many appreciate the sacrifices Dave has made to build this place into what it has become?
If Dave had put the money that this place has demanded into Superannuation, he'd be considerably more comfortable now.
Thank-you for AULRO, Mr. Blears.

I'd raise a glass to Inc and drink his health if I drank which I don't so I'll have to settle for raising my glasses.[wink11]
But seriously AULRO is a credit to you and your efforts Inc. Many forums could learn from your example. [thumbsupbig]

Again, thank you Dave. I think you have been the driving force (although I was not here at the beginning) and you are the one that has shaped it into what it is. Without downplaying the efforts of all the others who these days do a lot of the hard work. Congratulations!

Thanks Inc, I'm late to the LR fold but this place was a gold mine of information during my research and probably swayed me to the marque.
Thanks also to all the Moderators for their hard work and dedication.
Happy Birthday. :MileStone::banana::spudnikparty::twobeers:

Yep, thanks Inc. Even when I was landrover-less I still kept up my subscription. Some good stuff on here for sure. It's saved me many an embarrassment at a local mechanic by embarrassing my self on here first [emoji1787]

Very well done over 20 years.
Unfortunately SWMBO does not see all the positive benefits I receive from the endless hours I spend here.
Thinks I would be better off helping around the house.
I have trouble understanding her attitude?

Thank you to all involved with the running of this site! I have learned A LOT from the generous people here and also saved myself lots of money.
Whenever I meet new Land Rover owners I tell them the best thing they can do is to join this site!
Cheers

Many thanks Inc for your efforts and those of the various helpers along the way. The generosity of people on here never ceases to amaze me. I don't think there's any problem, Land Rover based or not, that can't be solved by this wonderful forum.

You’ve done a great thing!
I can’t begin to calculate the dollars I’ve saved by being a member here - along with many other things you’ve mentioned. [emoji106]
I joined to learn a thing or 2 about my RRC which I got from my FIL and get some info on bits and pieces. This lead me to buying other Landies and relying on this forum for advice and support to keep them going - I’d like to think I’ve paid that back in some part with what I’ve learned here.
And let’s not forget - I wouldn’t have bought the 101 without the support of the members here (and a few bottles of red at Melrose when my missus told me - “just go and buy the bloody thing if you want it”
I did want it and I did buy it. [emoji106]
Also remember a great game of Cards against Humanity around a campfire at Melrose too some years back - we must do that again. [emoji4][emoji106]

That sounds like a typical LR spouse who has come to realise she is losing the battle & speaks forth in utter desperation.
We should all have one of those if only to keep the peace.
If only they realised at the time just how much cash & time was going to be spent to achieve her olde man's dream.
I guess you can't turn the clock back.:Thump::Rolling:

As I was explaining to SWMBO it is important to know how to replace the Turbo on a 2001 Defender.
When she replied that I don't own a 2001 Defender, I had to say I might in the future.
She said not while she's around!
Just because I said You might not always be around a great big argument started?
I sometimes think SWMBO has a funny set of priorities!

She was on her 3rd bottle of Shiraz IIRC in the main tent with around 10 friends sitting around. She couldn’t back out once she said it. She admitted later she didn’t think I’d find a 101 so quickly - but I already had my eye on one before hand. [emoji56]
I never told her how much I spend on any of my vehicles and she didn’t ask so that kept us both happy.
I have a new SWMBO now who also doesn’t want to know how much I spend on them - we each get an allowance - what we both spend ours on is none of the other persons business. [emoji16][emoji106]
I can see a downsizing of the fleet at some stage though - I’m leaning towards keeping 2 vehicles both of which are in good running order - the Jag is one, it’s still up for debate if I move on the RRC or the 101.
As far as practicality goes, the RRC makes more sense to keep but my heart says the 101. Time will tell - there’s no rush. [emoji4]
The biggest **** about it all is I haven’t driven ANY of them in over 18 months because of ****ing covid… [emoji35]

Who remembers the good old days (pre-COVID) when quite a few of us gathered at JDNSW's place for the tenth anniversary celebrations?
It was a great weekend and a chance to meet so many of the people who had previously only been a username and an avatar on my computer.
I am so pleased that I stumbled on this site in 2006. I was about to upgrade from my Series III to a 1998 300tdi and wanted to get some idea about what to look for. The forum has been a great resource over the years and I have enjoyed the online and personal contact with some marvellous people.

Thanks to Dave for starting an outstanding forum - and more importantly a community to be proud of.
And thanks to everyone who takes the time to share and pass on your experience. I could not even imagine how many years of collective experience lives here.
If you can’t find a solution to a LR problem here - well you just become a challenge for the rest of us to solve!
