Is there a way to test the Key receiver in roof?

Hi I have a new to me D2A, keys have never unlocked the doors.
Nanocom reports no signal on a RF test.
Keys have been checked at Land rover dealer and are producing a 433MHz signal.
Receiver has been swapped over with a 2nd hand one.
New key tried still same scenario.

I'm wondering if the replacement receiver might also be dud, is there a way to test or know if the receiver is active or working?

I don't want to keep throwing parts at it I would like to be able to test and diagnose that way.

Does the light come on on the key fob? I bought a wide range signal detector to check, but experience suggests to me now that if the light comes on it is transmitting.

I had this problem when I bought my D2 and it was the receiver. I bought another one from a member of the forum and it worked.

I would think that there would be a momentary voltage from the sender wire of the receiver to the BCEM when the fob button is pressed.

Maybe find the input wire on the BCEM from the wiring diagram and check for a voltage while someone presses the fob or if you are a contortionist check at the receiver.

Hey mate yeah the signal detector is what I checked the keys with at M and R.
I will go looking for power at the receiver next and then like you said a signal leaving the unit when pressed.

The Nanocom RF test will detect unpaired keys. Perhaps the issue is in the wiring to the receiver?

Solved. Ended up being a corroded fuse in the engine bay, looked OK but changed it and away it went. Thanks all
