I've been looking for about 4 weeks for a D2-V8 and finally after searching all the car sales web sites settled on an 01 7 seater with low k's (54K) leather, timber etc. Drives beautifully as you would expect. Picking it up on Friday.

Well got the Disco home today, no photos yet, it bucketed down this arvo! One positive and two negatives. Good news first, I can add the bits so the centre diff-lock will be operational, not so good is a leaking power steering box and a vibration at @ 100 k's. Climbed underneath and found a bit of sideways movement in the front cardan joint so highly likely that replacing the uni-joints (6) will fix that plus I have 3 months warranty from the dealer, so will be pushing that!
That said though the Disco still feels and smells new (leather and only 54k, which is quite low for an 01 build) and has service history, so the k's are genuine.
So quick description; Silver V8 -7 seater,ACE, Traction control,1st car I've owned with leather, 6 stack CD, air-bag suspension, as new Michelins. Couple of scratches so I don't have to worry about scratching it going offroad.
Looking forward to adding a few bits and pieces in the next few months, the first thing (not withstanding the c/diff) is a duel battery set-up, looking at the Traxide Tronics SC-80.
Also lashed out and bought a Waeco 50L with the transit bag yesterday on special for $900.00 all up, a saving of $200.00.
Life is good!

Maggsie - are you sure that your tyres aren't just out of balance? Maybe try and swap them for another set, or at least rotate them to see idf the 100kmh vibration persists before you go all radical....... :D

Congrats Maggsie:) .
Get the front prop shaft fixed/replaced ASAP before worrying about the vibration. If that lets go, it can be big $$$.
