Nearly 40 years after the IWC [ International Whaling Commission ] voted to suspend commercial whaling, scientific research using the products of whaling , including researchers from the anti-whaling countries, such as the UK, USA, Sweden & Spain , is still being carried out. The ethical and legal issues are so complex, a proper set of ethical guidelines is said to be needed. From the HAKAI magazine;
