Just been for a drive and after awhile I got a thumping type noise from underneath.
Nursed it home and felt the heat from the r/h rear.
Checked the other wheels, you could put your hand on the wheel.
I gather that the wheel bearing is kaput, so what is the best way to get it changed.
a) just the wheel bearing or
b) get complete knuckle
c) any other way of doing it.

Is it best to do both sides seeing as one has gone?
Who is best for getting the supplies locally(england is likely 2-3 weeks + to get here)

Any other hints, tips most welcome.

If it is the wheel bearing ! Personally I would do both at the same time, Peace of mind [thumbsupbig] as probably the other bearing is worn also. You will require a good hydraulic press to remove the bearing. They can be a bit of a bugger.[bigwhistle]

Just been down to mechanic.
Put the heat gun on it and found it to be the caliper sticking.
Getting fixed on thursday, glad its not the bearings.[bigwhistle]

Certainly is Laurie.
I checked last night for a box that had bearings in it that I bought of a bloke that had them for sale.
Still have the box with the bearings and there for the beast ,so I wont have to buy them when they replacing.
