How big are these big screens in new cars going to get , some look to take up a bout a 1/4 of the middle dashboard and why can you use one and not a Mobile Phone ???? . Once you could control all facets of the vehicle with taking eyes of the road , how can you do this with these ever getting bigger screens . D'oh . :eek2: . Yeah once you could get fuel at the service station if the electricity or the internet failed !! . :twobeers:

And once people died of polio. Times are a changing as they say. Go with it. You might find you enjoy yourself. At the very least, you're much more likely to survive a crash in a modern car whilst trying to work out how to use the large tv screen.

There is a regulatory push to move back to physical controls as the touch screens tend to be difficult to operate without taking your eyes off the road

Agree , eyes should be on the road not texting on a phone or using a touch screen in todays traffic .

So its ok to use the phone then ?For sure. The law might think differently though as might the pedestrians you plow into the ground whilst looking at it. Minor inconveniences though really.

I've got a small screen I can hardly see , but voice control for most services I want.
I have to stop to put a usb stick in though.
if its just entertainment then my ipod goes for about 2 days.
I dont need navigation , I have Mk11 eyeball and brain.
my next new car will have one but I will probably leave it turned off.
