I'm assuming that the headlights on my 2013 SDV6 HSE, that are marked as 'Bi-Xenon', do NOT incorporate the DRL feature.
I was under the impression that any of the HSE spec vehicles would have them.
The headlights I have, have a ring of LED's (yellow in colour) and pretty much just look like pretty 'fairy lights' but are useless as a DRL.
Am I correct?

Yes, the poms do refer to them as fairy lights and they are pretty useless. I'm not much a fan of DRL's, if you cant see a 3 ton 4wd coming then get off the roads.

We have some great weather conditions around here where a darker coloured 4wd is almost invisible at anything beyond 500mtrs. With DRLs or Headlights on the difference is significant.

Have to disagree. Parker’s are useless.
Low beam is ok, if pecker heads turn them on.
DRLs are literally just self lighting versions so an easy fix.
Overcast conditions like here today a grey or similar coloured vehicle is almost invisible until well into the region you wouldn’t want to overtake.

I was once told some years back by one of our law enforcement officers..."Your headlights are on" when stopped for a license check on Albany Hwy near Arthurs River. "Yes I know" I replied "It helps others to see me from a distance". He just shrugged and walked off.
Now they have signs up advising drivers to use them.... See and be seen. Fairy lights may be OK around the towns in the dark daytime weather others in the northern hemisphere put up with but at a distance in the country most are worthless.
