Hello All,
How do you tell if the hand priming part of the fuel lift is working properly?
I have just reconnected all the pipes and fittings to my newly refurbished 200td Bosch injector pump. When I went to prime the system using the fuel lift pump's lever it fully extended down and had little or no resistance for the full length of its return/upward stroke. The lever does not feel as if it is drawing any fuel. Will this lack of draw feeling improve with perseverance or should there be a feeling of suction with the first 10-20 strokes or so?
The part number is STC1190 for a new lift pump. I just want to check to see it normal operating parameters before I assume that Snowy's fuel lift pump's ability to manually prime is kaput.
Kind regards
Lionel
