I saw one come up at the recent Pickles auction. I missed the end. Who bought this rare piece of automotive military history? And how much did it go for? Don’t tell me $65k.

Yes, as Vern says in his comment above, it sold to IC, Thornleigh, who is Ian Creak from the variously named dealership on Pennant Hills Road at Thornleigh.

the 6x6 Crew Cab appeared to me to have a lot of rust in it from the auction pics that I saw, it would need substantial work to remedy the rust issue..

Maybe its the one that was just put on gumtree by dealer for $99,990. He gave it a crap paint job and missed the rust in the passenger footwell...
