Anyone on here had success with carrying out a windows regulator rethread/restring.
I've had replace the central locking actuator on the drivers door and on reinstalling the regulator managed somehow to de-thread the regulator.
I spent the last hour, of what should be a minor job, trying to work out HOW to get the cable around all the pulleys and connected to the glass latches.
The threading is simple .. just not enough slack. So easy to come off ... so f%#@ hard to get back on!!
I need to get about 1cm more of slack to get it on .. but there is none and I can't see how to gain any.
The only thing left is to remove the motor assy to gain a little bit .. but that will probably open up a whole new world of trouble with a bunch of gears or something falling out.

On another note .. is anyone interested in buying a 2013 D4 SDV6 HSE?[bighmmm]

For future reference the window unclips from the actuator and you use tape to keep it up and out of the way. That should avoid the issue you have. Sorry I can’t help you with your issue though. Haven’t had the problem.

The window is out. The regulator is out. It had to be removed to get at the central locking actuator.
The actuator has been done and I was reinstalling the regulator when the cable must have gotten caught on something and derailed it.
What appears to be the part on the regulator to provide the required slack to be able to rethread the cable ... doesn't act as such.
