Hi all
hope u all had a great Xmas

we are going on a trip in the New Year and I’m taking my trailer. It’s an 18m old JP so has LEDs

when I plug it in to my towbar electrics I can only get running lights. Spoke to TIckels about this and they assure me that my 2006 Disco 3 can deal with LEDs but I’m not so sure

Has anyone else had issues getting LEDs to work with the stock OEM towbar ?

thanks
G

Do ‘normal’ incandescent trailer lights work with your D3?

LED lights should work on a D3. BUT the indicators will pulse/flash due to the Canbus signal. Have a look here Discovery 3 LED trailer lights (https://www.aulro.com/afvb/the-d3-d4-sticky-zone/85396-discovery-3-led-trailer-lights.html)

On a D3 there is a fuse box in the rear compartment. Take a look and check.

As above the flashing (twinkle) is the only issue with LEDs, otherwise it should work normally.

As others have said, yes but with pulsing. It'll also not tweak the transmission change points or disable the reversing sensors as it does with incandescents.

Hi All, I am currently chasing the opposite with no tail lights.

Does anyone know where the wiring loom leads to from inside as I have no power for tail lights at the connection?
