Let’s hope 22 brings us open borders and open minds, wealth for all, sunny days, wet nights and a future for all Australians to be proud of.
Maybe I’m dreaming, but it’s gotta start somewhere
Just under 5 hours away for us in WA, a little less for those in the middle and Far East of the mainland and those on the lesser islands will have already tipped there glass🥂🥂[emoji482][emoji482]
I’ll crack another and hopefully make it to the hour that brings 2022
Cheers and happy new year to all

Cheers Gav. If they ever let the unwashed into WA I'd love to crack one with you. As long as it's not Swan[bigsad]

Good on ya John
You’ll be glad to hear my drink of choice isn’t Swan, it’s that dirty South Australian water they call Coopers [emoji481][emoji481]
If it’s not on tap or in the fridge ya can’t beat the world famous Emu Export aka bush chook, wife basher and any other name you may give it🤣🤣
When I’m allowed to get out (and back in) to the place I call Way Ahead, I intend to drag the tribe over that way in the old 110 (followed closely by a fuel tanker) and will look you up

Gav.
Maybe, just maybe, you could bring the tribe and freeze your mammaries off at Winter Wombat. We usually leave the PC stuff behind. However I'm not sure emu will get you through. WW can be a trifle cool. Coopers Sparkling would fit. But a good Scotch can help.
Trouble is, the Wombles have taken over, to the benefit of nobody. So, I know quite a few places where the parallel community could gather.

Winter would be the time of choice, and I would be wombating around in the cold, I have a few banana benders to catch up with and I know what the north west is like in summer, so definitely don’t want to be there in the wet
Dry heat suits me to a tea (preferably a beer)
If it’s cold I’ll bring over some of the west’s best rum to warm the goolies, Back Burn from the Kimberley Rum Company
No coke needed, not even ice in the cold, maybe a splash of water 🥃
Maybe you could put a bit of snow on for the young sandgropers to enjoy, even the missus might enjoy it (second thoughts it might hurt my ears being too cold)[emoji12]
Enjoy the night John and all the other AULROians east of this great state, prime the glass, your almost there[emoji481][emoji481]
I have another few of hours to enjoy a beverage or 2 (dozen) [emoji1531][emoji1531]

Already crossed over here, Gav. I no longer care, but I'm happy to raise a glass to you and yours. No snow here at this time, but in Melbourne you never know. Christmas Day 2006 we had serious snow here in the Dandenongs. You can imagine what they said caused that. Three years later the place was on fire. Same same.
I'm not sure of the best way to deal with ideologues.

Hey nutbags. It's not quite here, and it's way past over there.
I'd like to say it can't be worse, but I said that in 2019 & 2020 and was proven wrong both times, so let's settle on "Happy new year and hopefully 2022 is less of a bastard than 2021".
If the plonker in control here ever loosens the grip, maybe we'll even meet at some point.
