As per title, what do the experienced recommend for minimising brake dust for our mobile chairs?
Both cars are due for new pads in the not too distant future and I'd like to be prepared.

Another vote for the Akebono's. We've put them in both my D4 and my son's Amarok and have nothing but good words for them.
Not sure if you can get them for all 4 wheels on the 3.0 litre D4 though. I know you couldn't last time I asked someone. Mine is a 2.7

I think I will also get some Akebono's at the next service, as during the holidays I found myself getting a wet cloth and wiping the wheels, just after the car had been through the carwash.

For 3L: fronts are EUR1479 and rears are EUR1099.
FWIW, I got a good discount buying them from Rock Auto in USA, compared to local.

Even more impressed with my ake's as after the recent control arms and bearing rebuild, no brake dust to contend with. The worst was actually the dust from the EPB.
Normally you end up black as soot from head to toe only due to brake dust when working anywhere near them. Not so for Akebonos...

That's great info. I did a pile of looking around when I did my rotors and brakes a few years ago. I'm sure I could not locate Akebono pads for the front of the 3.0L. I ended up using Pedders Ceramic pads. They were pretty good (and dustless also).
The akebono's on the rear were great.
But awesome to know they're available for front and rear!
Thanks.

Can the pads be changed out from OEM any time? Or does the rotor also need changing if you do?
