New car today - no reception when radio selected

picked up a 2018 D5 today

Sound works fine playing from my iPhone but when I choose radio and enter any mainstream radio station here in Sydney it just plays static like I’m a million miles away.

what am I doing wrong?

I don’t suppose that the radio is set to DAB (digital) instead of FM?

Nope tried AM, FM and DAB

on DAB you should not get any static, where did the car come from? I find if i go to Brisbane have issues and have to manually find stations and not use presets.

Hm. Ok Sounds like it’s an actual issue, not a user error
