Today marks the fourth anniversary of the passing of my lovely partner, Jan. I get a little fractious at this time. I hope that those who know mw will understand, Time does not heal, but it cleans.
If however, you don't know me, I'm not that bad.
My politics do not define me. Yours should not define you.

A tough time for you I’m sure.
Know that there are plenty here to listen if you wish to talk.
May the memories be joyous.

I hope Jan can't hear what you said about your doubts of Ian meeting her a few weeks ago. Not in person you understand.
Speaking of "After Life" I got around to watching Ricky Gervais's production of the same name a couple of nights ago. Wonderful Series & the closing scene really, really, moved me/us to tears.
Beautifully done.
There were some post grief messages in there that one could take some lessons from in that situation.
Sounds a bit silly for a grown bloke to cry? So what?

Ricky’s series was the reason for the name of this thread. It is a brilliant take on the unexpected loss of a spouse. His character got longer than I did.
Why shouldn’t a bloke cry? Four years on and I still get blindsided.

I suspected it was bit more than coincidental.

Pretty sad old world if a bloke can't cry.
SWMBO says I don't cry enough.

I doubt there will be more episodes of After Life, not unless he is reincarnated.
All the women I thought, as it went on, that he might hook up with, all came to nothing sadly.[bigsad]
Not really the thread to say "Enjoy," is it but you take my point.?
A bit weird but I never watched "The Office" but was pleasantly surprised at this one.

Funny that. At some level I am still married. I mis the company of a woman, but it's hard to see another one coming into my life. I reckon that's what he was saying.

Yes, Des, I do. I do enjoy this show. Enjoyment is not synonymous with happiness.

No. Not my style. I do like his humour though. Pity there's nothing of his I can post here. His last appearance at the Golden Globes was priceless. No prisoners taken. Of course, that freedom is being stolen, bit by bit.
