Hello All,
Just wondering whether it is possible to form a single page in Word which has the following features:
Ability to lock a graphic in the top right-hand corner and another in the bottom right-hand corner that cannot be moved without administrative access
A text box covering the majority of the page that features pre-formatted text where people can add things like the name of a document - its a title page, and identify the department they belong to, their co-authors and when the document was submitted?
The reason I am asking is that it took me a couple of very long days to sort out an issue with a template where the emblem and motto were placed in the title page's Header and Footer. While the Header and Footer should have been restricted to the first page and be controlled by a new Section Break - it did NOT work out that way. Stray codes or something directed all the internal hyper-links from a List of Appendices located elsewhere in the document, straight to the title page instead of the selected appendix located at the end of the document. Once I took the images out of the Header and Footer, pasted them into Paint and saved as JPEGs. I went back to the title page template and went Insert Picture and placed the image in the same place it was previously - without activating the Header. Ditto with the Footer. Once this was saved the faulty Table of Contents had all its hyper-links working and all the contents of the List of Appendices, List of ...s worked again. Click on a specific appendix link in the List of Appendices and Voila - the correct appendix opens up.
I am trying to contact the organisation and provide a suggested solution so that other people do not have endure the crap that I have been subjected to in attempting to fix their error. They probably put the graphics in the Header and Footer in a failed attempt to lock its location in place. Opening Pandora's box in the process to the unfortunate numpty who is the next user.
Kind regards
Lionel
