Have come up with a weird intermittent fault in the screen that shows the reverse camera view. More often than not the parking aid lines do not show up. Upon touching the screen the selection menu comes up but no lines then appear. Rear view camera is working OK. Tried for/rev, engine off etc sometimes it comes good and sometimes it does not. I depend on this for reversing on to a caravan so would like to fix it - any suggestions? I could not find a thread on this. I have a Rovacom IQ but have not investigated if it can help with this.

Disco 4 L319 with only the basic screen functions.

What year is your D4? Does it have surround cameras or just reverse camera?

There are several different arrangements depending on the year/system you have.

Its an MY16 built 2015 but only has reverse camera no surround vision

Okay so the guidelines are generated by the camera itself, and overlaid on the video signal to the screen, using data from the MS-CAN network, if you have a fault with the CAN wiring to the camera, or in the camera itself, then the guidelines disappear.

Usually with a CAN problem you'd get a "camera system fault" message on the screen, and a fault code. If it's an internal fault with the camera, there may not be fault codes reported.

Great, thanks for the info. I have just checked and the lines are back and everything was normal. However checking with the Rovacom I had camera fault UO 140.
I have cleared this and I guess see if it reappears. Any suggestions of things to check in the meantime? I would think taking the camera out and checking the plug for an intermittent fault?
