Stumbled on this website http://www.exmod.co.uk/conversions.html

As you look down the list of vehicles (mostly already sold) the majority seem to have come from Australia.

Bloke on FB was collecting heaps of LR's, claiming he was saving Australia's Land Rover Heritage.
Opening a Museum was his goal.
One Guess where most are ending Up !!!!

Poor old cockies being ripped off by scammers who earn big money, should be ashamed of themselves. Just another example our history and our country being sold down the drain.

I recognise some of those vehicles and photos from LandRover Heaven , and another 'enthusiast' who is , or was as the case might now be, allegedly a 'mate' of mine. off the christmas card list now asshole.

Problem is that there is more money by selling in the UK or US.
I've been offered a good price for my Series I from a chap in the US, I'm not ready to sell it but it was tempting.

I know where there are a few, so I guess others do too

also old jeeps , tojos , blitzes , gun buggies.

I have my eye on an old ex navy jeep , still blue , but needs plenty of work.

You might say, in a roundabout sort of way, I've had to knock back some gearbox work, well all of it actually , and Iveco transfer cases too, because I simply didn't have any room left to work in my shed, I put it all on hold because selfishly I wanted to decicate my time to my Power Wagon project. And now thats finished I poked myself in the bloody eye , (I'm trying to think if theres any irony in that [bigwhistle]) Doc says no machine work or travel for 2 years , .not sure what I'll do.. maybe I'll write another book?

Must say, I’ve 0 problems with them being sold anywhere in the world they’ll be looked after! Just been out firefighting and the amount of old Landies in sheds around Denmark WA is crazy. They’re all slowly “returning to nature”, and unless someone collects them up, they’re finished, corroded, burnt in fires, chicken coops, rats eating wiring… Truth of the matter is us restorers are a small market in Australia, and not many of us are cashed up! Rather see them go to good homes anywhere. No dealer is going to pay top dollar: the whole point is to make as much money as you can. Fair enough! They’ve got kids to feed, want to buy houses, cars, have aspirations etc. good luck to ‘em! Not like I’m gonna buy them up! Don’t appreciate anyone ripping someone off in sales, but “buyer (and seller) beware”!
