Hi there,
Just lost my TC a week ago on the freeway due to low (no) oil (feel free to berate me for stupidity here).
The rear facing intermediate shaft bearing had catastrophically failed and was driven on for a few km before I was able to stop. Thankfully there appears to be no damage to the gear set however the intermediate shaft has some noticeable wear by touch and there is some damage to the case. My question is, should I replace the case given this damage. The shaft hasn’t worn on the case side and appears as if it’ll still seal well, however there is some damage on the bearing facing side.
What do you reckon?
