Hi All,

I've had two D4s, both SE's but with the upgraded sound system, so they had/have the large touch screen which enables GPS and reversing camera video feed.

I've had this weird battery warning pop up in the touch screen. It's only done it about three or four times in the last 6 months and it's gone so fast, I haven't been able to catch evrything it says. There is a big red battery icon and some narrative about low battery charge (or something like that).

I've had a few flat batteries before but never experienced a warning on the touchscreen, only on the dash.

Has anybody else experienced this?

Oh, btw, the car starts fine ... so I have no idea what's going on.

Cheers,

Kev.

I too have a SE D4 with the touch screen (2011)

I get that message all the time, but I also have a fridge running 24/7 with a traxide second battery setup.

I think the traxide system protects the starting battery at a lower voltage than the car is comfortable with?

Anyways as with you it always starts fine...

I used to get it before the traxide was installed, and with a tired battery. I now have 2 SSB batteries, and not seen it in some time.

I do also give the whole thing a charge once a month or so - using a projecta charger.
