Email backup programs

Since using Firefox and Thunderbird for years i have always used Mozbackup for exporting the entire profile,settings and emails to the next PC
Unfortunately Mozubackup is no longer developed so i'm looking for another backup program with similar functionality.

I've always just copied the profiles across. They're all stored in a cohesive directory structure, and there are plenty of tutorials on line for moving a mozilla profile from one machine to another.

I've been spoiled using Mozbackup, just a 2 step process to back up everything, looks like ill have to just C+P the data.

I just use a mac and all emails are saved to the hard drive and just get backed up with everything else to separate hard drives.

Using Exchange. Everything else on 365 was a disaster.

Costs me $7.80 per month through a Telstra business thing, which also includes a domain name. Emails go to phone and mac and can manipulate them with either.

Like BradC said .. easy just to copy profile from the roaming folder over to new PC, or save this data as your backup.

But the easy two step process to replace Mozbackup is to use Hekasoft.

I also used to use Mozbackup, then switched to Hekasoft.

It does more programs than just TB and FF, but you configure it to do just those two if you want too.
When you first start it up, there is a very long list of software you can backup.
Great if you have all that software, but annoying if you only want to backup the software you have installed(or just certain software .. eg. just TB and FF).
In the settings (Options->Settings) .. go to Modules and deselect all and then select only the software you want it to display for you to backup in it's dropdown list.
Then a bit easier on the mind to work with.

After this, it's basically the same as Mozbackup.
One other option in the settings is to have it use higher compression procedure for it's backup routine. Takes longer to backup, but no worry.

Well that did the trick, only one minor issue which is that i should have made sure i had the same folders on the new PC before doing the restore.
I had filed some car related emails and they are now lost it seems.
