Hi All,

Got the new toy, and it seems to have been well maintained and looked after. A quick question:

I don't want to start poking about with the compressor until I've got the spares to service it lined up - but I'm not quite sure if it's Hitachi or AMK, and I'm not buying both sets. I'm assuming AMK as it's a 2015 plate, 2016 build model, but can anyone confirm either that it will be by default, or how to check without having to go outside in the rain and crawl around on saturated ground? (!)

Hope all are well - ironically, we only got home because we were in it last night, so its already earning its keep...

It will be an AMK.

What problems are you having to make you want to look into the compressor?

100% AMK and its too young to have been replaced already, shouldn't need touching yet but if you do get any suspension related warnings then its time for a service.
For the AMK all you can do is replace the drier desiccant and some o-rings.

You can also replace the exhaust solenoid not just the o-rings on that part.
$60ish from LR for genuine.

If you need the o-rings I have a list of all the sizes you can pick up cheaply from a local supplier rather than import a kit likewise just buy silica gel beads.

Thanks all - good to have the details.

It's nothing urgent, but the only 'potential fault' I've found on the whole car as yet is a slight hesitancy as it goes to off road height - it 'steps' up in 3 or 4 puffs at the front, if that makes sense. I was assuming it would do no harm to have a look - given the thread I'd change the desiccant and the o-rings? (No faults or error messages at present, but I do like to be on the front foot...)
