Is there a reason that the spare wheel/tyre is speed limited? It looks like a black/grey version of a standard wheel with a regular tyre on it. But also has the speed limited 80kph sticker on the wheel????

Have you had a look at the manufacturing date on your spare, Plenty of older vehicles with out of date spares tucked away in them[thumbsupbig]
Tyres don't last forever.

Sounds like you have a space saver spare and not a full sized spare. This will be why it is speed limited.

On my build sheet it says i have a full size spare, which appears to be a 19"x8" wide black rim. i dont think it is speed limited, but then i havent yet got it out to check.

Having said that, the build sheet also says that i had 19" 15 spoke rims, but when i bought it (second-hand) it had the 20" stormer alloys, so the spare may also have been swapped out then?

I'm in the market for the G4 type 19", but can only find a set - i'm happy to keep two and sell on the other two if you are interested?

Thanks for the offer, I'll wear out the tyres on the 22's a bit first then look for 19 or 20's in 6 months or so

I was wondering about this too. It's a full size continental 19" tyre and mag. My only guess is because the car is running 20" wheels factory option that running one 19 would affect the handling so they put the sticker on it...

I'm running 19's so even less likely to have a problem with different circumferences [bighmmm]
