Portable Compressor

Just got an email from Bearmach about portable compressors. Have a look at this link. Enlarge the photo and look at the box which states "OUSTRNDING PERFORMANCE"! Would you trust a product with that type of description on the box? They also have a slightly more expensive heavy duty one. Judging from the replies I got on Defender2 they seem to do the job so I might get one. Hope the instructions are easier read than the box!

That is the same compressor sold by Aldi just painted yellow. They actually work OK - Aldi when they have them are cheaper though at $99.99. They are a generic Chinese made unit.

yep .. looks the same as the single piston model out of 4WD Supacentre too.

They can be OK, these Chinesium units.
My ultra cheapie I got back in 2002 (when I got my Rodeo ute) .. still pumps(slowly).
I changed the useless fittings with Nitto types, but pump still hasn't given up yet.

It worked hard for a living about 5-2 years ago having to constantly re inflate the Yokohoma tyres that came on my D1 .. but since the Yokos got ditched in favour of some cheapie Chinese tyres too ... no need for compressor!

I have been using an el cheapo 4wd supercentre "thumper" compressor for about 6 years now It still pumps up 4x 265/75/16 tyres from 15psi to 40psi in about 15min[thumbsupbig]

Dr air Pro flow 150, I bought if off a recommendation from a 4x4 mag, 12 years ago. I accidentally lowered the D4 on it. And the only parts i broke they gave me as spares, in the bag. Lucky much . maybe $300 bucks?
