My 110 seems to go into limp mode when ever it is starting from cold or after waiting at lights for any length of time. Usually no engine warning light is coming on, but it did once and got Ward at Graeme Coopers to put the big scanner on which said earth fault at MAP sensor. Cleaned plug and socket but not actual sensor yet with some success but problem has come back. Noticed today that orange wire going into plug has break in the insulation.
I’m thinking the problem is connected to this crap wet weather we’ve been having in Sydney as the problem seems to lessen as the engine bay gets hotter and everything cooks a bit.
In the past I’ve replaced MAF plug with replacement from UK. Reasonably easy splice of new plug onto existing harness. Problem was a corroded wire right where it bends going into plug, terrible design with no strain relief. Anyway, now I have same problem with MAP and it appears the supplier in the UK is no longer supplying due to shortage of components (related to chip shortage I think they meant)
Has anyone been able to find a quality supplier of MAP & MAFs and the plugs that connect to them?
