Vin Chassis number Series lla 109

I recently purchased a 1968 Series lla 109 and the VIN/Chassis number on my QLD transport paper work doesn't make sense Q099OXO.I can't seem to find the vin on the vehicle.
does anyone have any suggestions please?

That number is an identification number assigned by Queensland police, as they could not find it either! This is now the legal identity.

If it is Australian built, the number should be stamped on the facing out vertical bit of the LH rear spring back mount, just above the shackle. You may have to remove umpteen layers of paint to find it. The Queensland police number should be stamped on the chassis somewhere, but heaven knows where!
