Just trying to avoid going into another forum needlessly.

If anyone knows can a larger A/T tyre be fitted to an Outback?

No - but looks like you can browse fairly painlessly: Wheels, Tires, Brakes, & Suspension | Subaru Outback Forums (https://www.subaruoutback.org/forums/wheels-tires-brakes-suspension.81/)

Not me but contributed to skull dragging one on sand dunes and beaches in WA[biggrin]It was light enough for driver to leave wheels spinning while he pushed with Drivers door opened and me pushing /lifting. More people made it easier when bogged but more likely to bottom out and get bogged[biggrin]

It was good fun IF fish where biting and beer was cold

Those were the days [thumbsupbig][thumbsupbig] His had road tires only deflated a bit.

I have a 2018 OB tdi, and put together the below tyre options. The assessment on availability and number in brackets is the number of tyre options available in that particular size on a major tyre outlet webpage.

Size Diameter mm Avail Price Load rating
225/60/18 727 common (37) $200-400 most 100
225/65/17 725 common (42) $185-220 most 102 some 106
235/65/17 737 common (38) $250-300 104 or 108
245/65/17 750 common (38) $250-350most 111
225/70/17 746 Not common (12) $300-350 most 110
